We are thrilled to announce the launch of Cpl Dunn's first cook book, Uncharted - The Journey of  a Military Chef, in support of the Veterans Charity and The Burnt Chef Project. 
 
The Veterans Charity provide fast, direct support to Veterans across the entire UK who find themselves facing hardship and distress. The Burnt Chef Project work with the interservice culinary teams to challenge mental health stigma and provide free-to-access mental health support systems to cooks within the Army, Navy, and RAF. 
 
"Why This Book
 
This book is not just about giving you new techniques and recipes for dishes, but the aim is so much more. It is about generating profits that can support charities and projects such as helping vulnerable veterans.
 
This is to create funding to better help veterans and serving personnel with support networks for mental health and a network of charities that can help military personnel with their transition away from the forces once their service is finished.
 
This has always remained a heavy reminder of the hardship serving personnel often face when leaving a career at top positions of command and stepping into a world that is completely different to anything to which they are accustomed to.
 
On Average just in London there is 3000-4000 veterans are sleeping rough, this number is forever f luctuating, but surveys have highlighted that most hostels have not been surveyed, meaning there could be more veterans sleeping rough than initially thought.
 
Most being Army and not RAF or Navy at no fault of either service mainly due to larger influence in workforce. Most veterans end up homeless due to not being able to carry their authority and training into civilian life. It is said that veterans often survive better on the streets than most homeless due to their extensive survival training, however the collateral damage of life can be higher."
